Bellevue: The Oldest City in Nebraska

Situated just 10 miles south of Omaha lies Bellevue, the state’s oldest city. Established in 1855, Bellevue is marked by many iconic landmarks that speak of its rich history still visible and admired by thousands of tourists and residents. Bordered on the east by the scenic Missouri River, Bellevue is where a good mix of suburban living and urban lifestyle can be found. Surrounding its bustling metro is a good number of green parks and golf courses, including Swanson Park, Willow Lakes Gold Course, and Fontanelle Forest. Downtown, Bellevue offers many conveniences beyond the comfort of the suburb. Some of these points of interest include Walgreens, Walmart Supercenter, Target, Bellevue University, and Sarpy County Museum.
